When does cluttering become hoarding?
For some people, the inability to get rid of unwanted or unneeded items can become so excessive that it starts to affect their health and wellbeing. It often leads to the home being so cluttered that it impairs basic living activities, such as cooking, cleaning, showering and moving around. These people can come from all walks of life but all are equally burdened by this distressing condition. Thankfully, there is a growing awareness of “hoarding disorder” and an increasing understanding of the personal suffering that it can cause to those affected and their loved ones. If you recognise yourself or a loved one in the above description, then help is at hand. Life-Pod works with hoarders and their families and provides a non-judgemental, caring and confidential service.
At Life-Pod, we understand that there are additional challenges to be met and additional support needed when dealing with those affected by this problem. We believe that sufferers are best helped with a team approach and we would be able to discuss this with you to ascertain the best way forward for your particular circumstances.
Life-Pod is currently developing a Collaborative Therapy for Clutter Management
